Ohio Ren Festival

   Posted by: Robert   in Uncategorized

We are currently attending the Ohio Ren Festival in Harveysburg, OH as vendors. This is only our second Ren Faire ever, and I must say I am incredibly impressed with the whole event. This is their 20 year anniversary, so they have had some time to figure it all out and get it right - and wow, do they get it right. Everything is so organized, everyone we have met is nice, and the staff is amazingly helpful and professional. It of course helps our outlook that business is going great, but we certainly hope to be vending here for many more years to come. Heck, maybe we will make it to their 40th anniversary :)

We are now also at a time of growing pains for our business. It is an exciting and wonderful sleep deprived place to be. So we want to say a very sincere ‘Thank You!’ to all our friends, fans, and customers. By the new calendar year, we will hopefully have revamped our festival schedule, added some new handcrafted things to our product line, redone our website, and retired some of our older products.

I will try harder to keep this blog up to date, and let folks know what we are doing and where we are. I actually forgot I even had this thing, until I saw a link to it in Gilded Quill’s newsletter.

Faerieworlds Booth B46

   Posted by: Robert   in Uncategorized

After 46 hours driving- we are finally back in Oregon for Faerieworlds! (www.faerieworlds.com)

It is very hot here, but it is supposed to cool off this weekend. And the festival is going to be incredible, lots of great music, wonderful art, and very cool people to meet.

Look for our wagon (and Rebecca and Jay wandering around in our corsets) and pick up a pair of leather wings and a brand new Nose Goblin. We will also have one our of a kind leather masks and crowns, and our custom order cloaks and corsets.

We are planning to stay open until midnight, so folks can shop after it cools off once the sun goes down.

See you there!

Last Weekend - KY Ren Fest

   Posted by: Robert   in Uncategorized

Well this is it - the last weekend of the Kentucky Highlands Ren Festival!

While it hasn’t been as profitable on a daily basis compared to our usual fairy events, it has been a lot of fun and it was a great environment for us to experiment and grow. There are lots of nice people there, and hopefully if folks stick with the show then it will become a great and profitable one for all.

This is also the last chance to get our Gobbler art dolls without placing a custom order for one. From here on out they have been redesigned, renamed, and re-licensed to be sold to children. We will still hand make them of course, but you won’t see the Guru, Scurvy, Scrapper, or Homespun Gobblers anymore.

Its kinda sad in a way, but also really exciting - who knew when we started making handcrafted soap 8 years ago that we would run the gamut from those, to candles, to shamanic rattles, to skimpy clothing, to leather corsets, and now to stuffed children’s toys. Who knows where we will go from here :) (Don’t worry - the corsets aren’t going away. Though there are more toy designs in the works.)

So anyway - long rambling made short:
Come see us this weekend in Kentucky & buy one of the last one of a kind Gobbler dolls.

We have a blog!

   Posted by: Robert   in Uncategorized

I have been asked time and time again in this hectic summer - ‘Do you have a blog I can link to?’

Well, now we do. Yay!

Of course, i am very new to this whole blogging thing. So it may take me a while to get the hang of it.

The next step is to get a calendar in it so people can see where we are and when. And to figure out how to link it to our portfolio website and our etsy site.
